2016 Grants awarded to purchase Legos and Gears for Kindergarten.

Science and social studies standards were met at the same time as students worked to create a community. These Lego pictures show two classes working collaboratively.  They brainstormed the different parts that a community needs i.e. houses, park, bank, doctor office, school, grocery store, fire department and police department. They worked in small groups to create their part of the community and then both classes, 40 students, presented their models to the rest of the group.
